What kind of tattoos will you do?If I can do it, I will do it! I focus the most on early new school, tribal, and coverups, but I also have a fair amount of experience in stipple shaded, delicate designs if that's more your thing. If I don't feel confident a tattoo will hold up in the long run, I will let you know. Although micro tattoos are in style right now, I haven't seen enough evidence that these will hold well for most people over long term. Everyone's skin is different and I try to make tattoos that will hold up for the most people for the most time. That white ink tattoo may have held up on your friend for a long time, but the vast majority of people will see a significant tint to it as it heals (because of the skin that has healed over the piece). A lot of my coverup clients say "I wish I would have listened to the artist when they recommended that I get this tattoo larger/darker/etc", and I don't want you to regret your decisions down the line.I am willing to make some concessions with certain more experimental things, but please understand that certain things you want for a tattoo just won't work. I aim to put out high quality work that will last for a long time, and I believe a lot of experimental things should be kept at a minimum, especially considering the cost of a tattoo upfront.
What's the easiest way to book?Send an email  , use my Booking form or text 412-436-9461Make sure you include the following information if you're emailing or texting- your name, a contact number, a description of what you'd like (including approximate size in inches, location on body, and any inspiration images) and your availability. Texting is best for last minute/day of appointments. Please allow me some time to respond before sending any reminder emails; I don't always get to my email every day
Will you send a design ahead of time?I don't send designs via email; I find that it is more trouble than it's worth when trying to make design changes. If you'd like to schedule a consult before the appointment, we can discuss the design in person or on Google meet, just let me know
What are your deposit rules and other fees?If you are required to put down a deposit, it is non refundable unless my schedule changes and we are unable to reschedule the appointment. I am usually fairly flexible about rescheduling but reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment will cause you to lose 50-100% of your deposit, depending on the size of the project. This is to help me recoup some of the money I have lost for that day, since I block out a fair amount of time for each client and may not be able to get another client to fill your spot. Deposits for large scale projects will apply to the final session.
Can I use numbing cream? It has become increasingly apparent that numbing cream can cause significant problems. Please see this notice by the FDA- FDA Tattoo Numbing Cream Warning In  addtion to potential dangers, numbing cream makes the skin more difficult to work with and has caused issues with healing in the past. As of this notice, unless you are an established client of mine who has used this cream in the past, you are subject to potentially being rescheduled and losing your deposit if you show up with numbing cream applied. If it is determined that it is safe to tattoo you that day, expect the tattoo to be $80-150 more depending on the difficulty of working with the skin. I occasionally use Bactine during the tattoo session to lessen the pain during the end. I've used it a good amount and it is generally agreed to be safe by the industry.
What do I need to prepare for the appointment?Show up well rested, well fed, and hydrated. It is suggested that you bring water and a snack for longer sessions. Do not drink alcohol and don't show up hungover. Some clients like to smoke weed before a session but in my experience it can make you more sensitive.
What do I need to bring to the appointment?A valid ID, any hydration and snacks you'd like, and payment. Cash is preferred but I can also accept cards (however, you can't add a tip onto a card). In a pinch, I can accept payment apps but prefer not to.
